Email Intake privacy policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Who uses it

Email Intake is a personal tool. Its only user is its owner, who signs in with his own Google account.

What it accesses

With the read-only Gmail permission (gmail.readonly), it reads the owner's email messages, headers and attachments. It does not request permission to send, modify or delete email, and it accesses no other Google data.

How the data is used

Messages are processed on the owner's computer to decide which of his work projects an email belongs to. Work emails, summaries, attachments and draft replies are saved in local folders on that computer. To do this, email content is processed by Claude, an AI assistant from Anthropic, acting on the owner's behalf.

Sharing

Email Intake does not sell, share or transfer Gmail data to anyone else and does not use it for advertising. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and removal

Data stays on the owner's computer. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; deleting the local folders removes the stored copies.
